About Melinda
—A career spent serving those who serve others—
Melinda Kay Ronn
using her gifts in helping ministries
Melinda Kay Ronn has worked in ministry and the faith-based space for the greater part of her career. After a degree in journalism and a stint in entertainment, Melinda felt called to use her gifts in helping ministries. Some of her first jobs and clients were Greg Laurie at Harvest Crusades, Miles McPherson at Miles Ahead Ministries, Crystal Lewis at Metro One Records, Raul Ries at Calvary Chapel Golden Springs, and Wycliffe Associates (a complimentary ministry of Wycliffe Bible Translators). In 1998, Melinda started working as a consultant and what she lovingly calls, “an extended 1099 employee” for churches, para-church organizations, and faith-based companies and groups. She has worked with some of the most prominent ministries and pastors in the nation as well as faith-based publishers. But Melinda also enjoys helping start-up ministries, churches, and individuals who have a passion and a mission to share the Gospel or to help make a difference in the lives of those who are hurting, suffering, or down-and-out and needing to see the tangible hands-on love of God.
25 years
For more than 25 years, Melinda has used her gifts of writing, biblical knowledge, leadership, and relational abilities to help her clients in the areas of marketing communications, public relations, growth and expansion, community outreach, partnership development, event organization, and publishing needs.
The late Dr. Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ (another beloved client), called Melinda “the network queen” because of her ability and heart for bringing pastors, leaders, and ministries together to fulfill similar goals and further the work of their God-given mission.
Whether it’s a special project, a monthly consultancy, or a 1099 extended employment and tenure, Melinda works within the client’s budget which enables churches and faith-based groups to have high quality work without high-end agency prices.
loves serving at her church
Though born and raised in Southern California (where as a child she was part of the Jesus People Movement – attending Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa for 23 years), Melinda transplanted to New England in 1999 and enjoys the beauty of the four seasons and being near family. She is a proud mom, relishes the outdoors – especially the beach and summer drives in her Jeep, loves serving at her church, enjoys decorating her house, is an avid reader, and can be found working on her laptop at every unique coffee house she finds!
